About Me
Hi, I'm Catherine!I’m a licensed mental health counselor, but you can think of me as your companion on your path to healing. My passion is serving people who want to feel better and more at peace after a devastating experience but may fear the unknown of how counseling works or wonder if they really need it or will get any relief.
Why work with me?I intimately know how messy and ugly life can be. I’ve had my own struggles throughout my life and learned something invaluable from every one of them. I offer my clients an authentic, direct style with warmth and, at times, a dose of humor. I believe when we are able to laugh, our heart opens and we connect with ourselves and others at a deeper level.

Tragedy is awful but it can become the motivational force for you to develop a clearer sense of your identity and values. I am here to guide and support you on your path. Being in pain is difficult but staying stuck in that pain is torture. I make sure everyone I work with learns how to take better care of themselves, learns to get their needs met and discovers some meaning from the senseless things that happened to them. I believe we all have our own answers deep within us; sometimes we just need some help discovering them.
On a more personal note...
I chose this field because of my own experience with counseling. My life had crumbled and I needed guidance, support and a caring ear. That experience made such a huge impact on me, I changed careers after 20 years in engineering. I have always loved to solve problems and I wanted to continue that, but preferred a career that developed personal connections and impacted people’s lives more directly. I am inspired by my clients’ strength and courage every day and feel my life is more enriched by being a part of their lives.
Ready to take action?
I believe people can accomplish most anything with commitment and the right guidance. That’s why I hope you call now to book your appointment.
Education and credentials
I have extensive experience working with trauma, grief, and addiction. I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and am a Master's Level Certified Addictions Professional (MCAP). As an Advanced Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner, I specialize in a highly effective trauma therapy known for its rapid and lasting results. Additionally, I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a powerful approach that helps clients understand and navigate the internal "voices" within their minds. In 2025, I completed my 500-hour yoga teacher training, and I am excited to integrate mindfulness and movement into therapy to support holistic healing. My approach is highly individualized, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet your unique needs.
