On the outside, everything looks fine....
You always have everything figured out. Your life looks picture perfect. You're known as the one who has it all together.
But on the inside?
You are a wreck. You don't know how you are keeping it together. You're anxious, confused, stressed out, overwhelmed and just plain worn out. Maybe your work and home life are pulling you in 15 different directions, and you’re ready to quit everything. Maybe you and your partner are stuck in the same conflicted conversations. Or you just feel unsatisfied with life in general. You wish you could just get back to "normal" or better yet, you wish you could feel good with a sense of purpose.
You know something needs to change...
But you are used to putting on a brave face and pushing through the pain to keep moving forward. And, you don't have time for "talking to someone" and "counseling is for people who aren’t strong enough to handle things on their own."
You aren't alone!
We have all experienced times when something terrible happens to us. It's difficult to ask for help but it is a sign of courage to reach out to someone that can guide you through the emotional minefield. Therapy can help you work through all of your feelings and past hurts and finally heal those open wounds. Digging deep into the pain can be hard but the journey of self-exploration is rewarding and powerful. It is possible to experience happiness again and find meaning in your life.
My goal is to create an environment that is relaxed and safe so you can feel comfortable talking openly. I strive to develop strong, positive relationships with my clients where I can be supportive, yet also challenging at times, to promote your healing. Therapy is about teamwork and we will work collaboratively to identify and change the patterns that are keeping you stuck!
